WINDHAM, Maine, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Fourth Annual Military Muster Golf Tournament was held on Sept. 16, 2009 at the Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, Connecticut. Organized by individuals from each of the armed services, the event was attended by more than 110 former and current service members, who turned out for a day of competition and camaraderie.
The event raised $12,000 for the New England chapter of Operation Homefront, which provides emergency and morale assistance for military personnel, their families and our nation’s wounded warriors.
“Operation Homefront is honored to receive this generous support and to have the opportunity to foster friendships between active duty personnel and former service members,” said chapter president Donna Chapman. “Even more significant, however, is the privilege of serving military families, many of whom make great sacrifices in the service of our country. There is no greater honor than to be able to assist our men and women in uniform and their loved ones.”
Please contact Donna Chapman at (207) 321-1321 to learn about potential sponsorship opportunities, or for information on the services provided by Operation Homefront.
