Apollo 11 50th Anniversary

July 20, 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Navy Veteran Neil Armstrong, and Air Force Veterans Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins manned the mission.
The National Air and Space Museum displayed full-motion projection-mapping artwork and archival footage on the Washington Monument. The show, “Apollo 50: Go for the Moon”, included the true-to-scale 363 foot Saturn V liftoff, various stages of the rocket separation, lunar landing, first step on the moon, re-entry, and splash down back to earth.
