Need help finding.......
I have a daughter who is now 30 years old. I am trying to locate her father (we weren't married) because she feels she needs some closure or finality or whatever you want to call it. His name is Richard Dean Cates. He is from Raleigh, NC. He was in the Army, stationed at Homestead Air Force Base in 1973-1974 (around that time). He left there and went to Germany but I don't know if he got out after he returned to the states or if he stayed in and retired. If anyone has any info, or knows where else I might search, please let me know.

You may want to also try Military.com ....They have a forum there and a "buddie locator" section which is also broken down in each branch of service. There is also a unit locator, maybe if you knew what unit he was in you could start there. Did you try contacting the VA? His old duty station?They might be able to help locate who you are looking for, or at least let you know IF they are still on active duty or discharged. Good luck! Cpl.James
