Default Senate Flag Vote by State

The Flag Amendment-The Senate debate of the Flag Amendment started on Monday afternoon. It is the first time we have been so close to passage in the Senate. (The House has been passing various forms of the Amendment for years.) On Tuesday evening the Flag Amendment failed to pass by one vote. The final vote was 66 for 34 against. Every Senator voted. This vote means that the Amendment will not pass in this session of Congress. But we never came this close before. An addition of one vote would change the result. If this matters to you please look at the vote tally below and see how your Senators voted.

Maybe what should transpire is to think about who is running for political offices and only put in Vets. Seems that alot af politicans have no idea what this means to so many people especially vets. Vote their asses out of office and put in supporters.

Everytime we went to a forward operating position we had only a small American Flag on the command track (FDC). The first thing that I looked for wen we returned to base camp was our full size AMERICAN FLAG. That meant more to me than a letter from home. I knew that at least I was on soil that may have been hostile but I knew that this was a part of America. The American Flag has more meaning than the Bald Eagle which is another symbol of this great nation, but is protected under fereral law. Why not the American Flag??

You would think that common sense would kick in with this type of vote and the one that wanted ENGLISH as our native tongue, but NOOOOOOO? The only thing some of this asses are concerned about is if they get re-elected or not. At least our two in PA. went with the yes vote.

To all my brothers & sister , have a safe and fun 4th of JULY.

Its a shame that we had to give so much of our selfs so the idiots in Washington can do this type of BS to something that means so much to us. I gave all I could to defend our flag. I will still kick a-- over it.

To all my fellow brothers and sisters happy and safe 4th of July.
