I just took action on this issue at Military.com and thought you might find it interesting too. I still work with many Army installations throughout the country as a consultant and see the "cut-backs" they are making. One installation has removed all but 2 - 2 1/2 ton trucks from service. One of these was used to transport food between dining facilities. Now they use a pickup and make 2-3 trips instead of one. Make sense? Another has stopped all purchases of paper products to dining facilities and soldiers cannot obtain "carry-out" meals. Work orders to fix dining facility equipment are being delayed. Some food items are now restricted because of price. Copy machines are being removed from offices to reduce their use. Offices must share one machine, causing workers to be away from their desk to go to other offices and wait (in line) for copy machine use. As usual, the Peons suffer first.
I took action today as this URL asks.
