Remember Our Hospitalized Troops
Hey Don, I took action for our returning wounded.
I was reading my husbands UAW Solidarity magazine and saw this letter from a retired UAW member. I have a simple request: If you can take a few minutes out of your busy day, please send one (or several) cards and a short message of encouragement to our wounded troops who are hospitalized in Washington. I'm sure it would lift their spirits and let them know they are appreciated. Send your messages to: A Recovering American Soldier, c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20307-5001. I am going to send a few cards to our brave men and women to let them know I appreciate them. I hope the Vets and members of this site will send cards to show that you care about these brave soldiers. I'm married to a Vietnam Army Veteran and very proud of him and all of you who have served our country. Carol
