Default Is there a chance of Service-Connection?

OK, here's the embarrassing scoop. I became impotent in 1989 after I retired from the military in '85. I think it was related to depression due to an event that occured however, an MD said blood pressure was borderline in the nether region. He put in a penile implant in '92 and it failed and another one was implanted in '98 and for some reason he went in the inguinal area?? In a followup visit 4 years later he couldn't explain why he went into the inguinal area. I developed a hernia thatr he repaired shortly after the last implant and he said, "I was afraid of that." The hernia repair held for 4 months or so and then "poped out." I then went to a surgeon because I didn't trust the urologist that did the implant and subsequent hernia repair. He repaired the hernia and put in a wire mesh and said I should be very careful lifting heavy objects or I'd be in for a HUGE surgery. THEN, the 2nd implant failed and I filed for SC and rec'd 10& for impotency and deformity. Now I think about the hernia repairs and warnings about lifting heavy objects and am considering filing for sc for the restrictions on lifting. Is it worthwhile? I am sending letters to the two doctors requesting a "To whom it may concern" letter that I want to send to the regional office. I currently have a pending C&P - should I send a letter asking that the hernia be added to open my case or wait until the current claim is decided. Gone thru the C&P exam already.
What do you think? Sorry this is so long

If a doctor will state "more likely than not" it is related to your service and provide a medically sound rationale.

As Tincanman stated you'll need an IMO from a doctor. This IMO is (or should be) the nexus or "connection" between the two conditions. This is what VA will need to grant service-connection on a secondary basis.

I've sent the hospital asking for the inpatient summaries and sent letter to both MD's, requesting the one that did the originalo surgery make a comment it is directly related to the surgery whivh was service related/connected. Also to the 2nd surgeon asking him for the limitations. Thanks folks!
