looking for Richard George Newman WWII

Trying to locate my father.............due to divorce I never met him! Recently came across divorce papers. My mom passed away 2003, step dad passed away feb 07. Best I know is he is from upper mid west, joined in probably 1942............met her my Mom in San Francisco bay area, Oakland, married in Reno Nv. May 3rd 1942...........Divorced in May 1951, Just before my step Dad passed away he told my wife that he(bio dad) sent $10/mo until I was 18, they never told me this and found out from my wife after all the dust settled from the funeral. His full name is Richard George Newman........either Army or Navy...............Mom's madien name Jackie Fontes probably 16 yrs old in 42, so possibly early 80's now. Ted
