Default VA Rating and Army Disability Rating?

Hello to all,

I currently have a VA disability rating of 100% for PTSD. I am also still in the National Guard. I am trying to go through the process of going in front of the PEB/MEB to get active duty medical retirement.

I have been told that if the Army decides to give me a disability rating lower than 100% that the VA can reevaluate my claim with them and lower my VA rating. I wanted to know if anyone has any information if this is true or not. My VA disability rating is not P&T or IU. I am hoping in the relatively near future to go back to the VA and try to get P&T.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Damagedgoods
