I received my first paperwork today since filing my claim. I understand most of it but want to be sure on the VCAA Notice Responce.
I will be sending in all of my medical records from the various Doctors who have been involved with my PC plus two other documents that they want. There will be additional treatment in the future but I don't at this time have documentation for it. My question, is on the VCAA Notice there are two choices. You have or you don't have any information or evidence to support my claim. Since I am sending in all of the documents that I have at this time I'm assuming I should check the first box indicating I have no additional info etc. at this time. Would this be correct? This would eliminate the 60 day period the way I read it. It also tells you that regardless of which box you check you have one year from the date of the notice to give the VA additional info or evidence. I would appreciate any help. I searched the forums here but want to clarify for my own peace of mind. Thanks, Mike |
