I was originally turned down by the va for PTSD because they would not accept my stressor.
i later head of the combat action ribbon that is awarded to Marines and Navy personell that were involved in combat.i and 2 of my friends who were grunts in nam had never even heard of this award.I applied for it through my local congressmans office to the naval personell dept that handles awards. i was eligible and recieved the ribbon in just 6 weeks.the VA accepts this as conclusive proof of a stressor.if anyone is getting the runaround, apply for this ribbon.hope this helps .

VA and CAB for Ptsd ?

The VA can use a Combat Action Badge or Ribbin for a stressor claim but that alot won't get you granted for a claim. If you have a stressor that proves that your problem is caused from Combat action or being in and near it and it caused you to have Ptsd, then the VA can and will use that on your claim to determent it you do have a Service Sonnected problem.RainVet 100% SC Ptsd
