Does your state allow veteran status on your driver’s license? If so send me a note describing how your state did it and what it may cost. We are trying to do this in my home state of Vermont.

I know this post is 5 years old but, the answer to this question is yes. My state of Ohio allow it on your driver’s license and happens every time you renew your driver license free of charge.

CA requires a form filled out by the local Veteran's assistance office with DD214. License is then issued by DMV with the "Veteran" on it. NO extra charge at renewal time.
