I injured my right shoulder, right arm and right hand/wrist in military. I recently had a C&P exam. Now the physician has referred me for a neurology EMG. What will happen next? And how do they calculate these claims. Will they add arthritis or will I have to file a separate claim for that condition?

You will either get an EMG or an NCV Nerve Conduction Velocity test. The doctors will evaluate the results and report the severity. The Ratings Veterans Service Represenative will compare the doctors findings and determine the level of disability based on The VA Schedule of Rating Disibilities. The specific one for PN is Title 38 CFR Part 4.124a Most likely under Diagnostic Code 8510-8513 depending on the specific nerves affected. I'm not a doctor so I couldn't tell you which.

If you have arthritis, you'd better make a claim. No one at VA is a mind reader.
